How does BMI work for children
Body Mass Index (BMI) is used differently for children. First step is to get individual children BMI number using the same formula. In this way collect a statistical data of same age and sex children from the same area, such as same country or same continent, etc. And then compare individual children’s BMI number to the statistical data. If a BMI is at the range of less than 5% will be considered as underweight. And if a BMI is within the range of 85%-95% will be considered overweight or obesity and may have potential risks of developing health problems.
To determine whether people are at overweight risks more precisely and thoroughly, please use the calculators of Body Fat Percentage calculator, Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) calculator, and Daily Calorie Requirement calculator.
